Obama's acceptance speech on Thursday night was overshadowed by the god-like Greek temple stage design. This design, by Britney Spears's set designer, was far more spectacular and celebrity-like than anything Britney could have imagined. The fact that Obama feels like he needs a stage of this caliber simply shows Obama's egotism and disconnect with middle America.
A few weeks ago America watched as the former presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards announced that egotism was the cause of his political suicide. Obama's celebrity-like and "big head" won't cause him to cheat on a wife dieing of cancer, but it has already caused Obama to disconnect with a majority of hard-working rural Americans.
At the announcement of McCain's surprise vice-presidential pick of Governor Sarah Palin this past Friday morning, Obama once again attempted political suicide. The Obama campaign's official response attacked the republican opponent by stating, "Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000.... a heartbeat away from the presidency."
Obama first showed his division and intolerance of rural America back in April at a San Francisco fundraiser when he said that the people of Small-Town America, "get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them".
These knee jerk reactions of Obama and his campaign clearly show a hatred toward rural Americans. Unfortunately the Obama lemmings have already overlooked his connections with known terrorists, his far left voting record in the United States Senate, and the fact that Obama is the most inexperienced candidate to ever run for president. Why would a little thing like classicism make Obama supporters change their minds?

If you want to make a case against Barack Obama, do it intelligently instead of blubbering like an uneducated loony. Clearly, something went awry in the admissions office when they took you off the waitlist.

I could not agree more with the first two comments. You can be as conservative as he is liberal, but don't be as idiotic as he is intelligent. argue that his policies are bad, don't make false claims about supposed "terrorist connections." obviously both candidates are just saying and doing what they can to win at this point. grow up. you should be ashamed to represent WNC.

Obama admitted to having connections with these terrorists in his Bill O'Reilly. To Obama's defense, he did state that he knew them, especially William Ayers whom he worked closely with for 8 years, but did not agree with what they had done.
William Ayers created the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Project which Barak Obama was selected by Ayers as the first chairman. Obama's connection with this terrorist continued as Obama worked his way up the Democratic Chicago machine to the top.
William Ayers was part of a terrorist network claiming socialist ideals which planned a series of attacks including an attack at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capital. Ayers and his fellow terrorists could not be prosecuted because of government misconduct in the collecting of evidence.
This is just one of the main terrorists which Obama can directly be tied with.
P.S. Ayers has recently stated, "I'm not sorry... We did the right thing". Ayers would bomb the pentagon again in a similar situation. This type of connection with someone Obama worked with for 8 years should get paid closer attention.
I sure hope the junior senator isn't just blowing smoke when he says he condemns this crazy socialists attacks on America.
